Certificate Certificate

This Creative Foundations course develops core graphic design skills, enabling you to create effective visual communication using colour, typography and layout across print and digital formats.

Can be studied as a stand-alone course. No minimum qualification required.

Professional Diploma Professional Diploma

This Advanced Practice course develops graphic design capability, enabling you to manage complex branding projects, create strategic design solutions and build a professional portfolio to take your career to the next level.

Can be studied as a stand-alone course. No minimum qualification is required. Includes optional work placement upon completion of the course.

Degree Pathway

Choose a higher education course with progression available through (BA Hons) Degree level

Higher National Certificate (BTEC) Higher National Certificate (BTEC)

Develop professional graphic design capability through a BTEC Higher National Certificate, building skills in visual communication, typography, digital workflows and project development for advanced study or entry-level design roles.

Can be studied as a stand-alone course. No minimum qualification is required. Includes optional work placement upon completion of the course.

Higher National Diploma (BTEC) Higher National Diploma (BTEC)

Develop advanced graphic design capability through a BTEC Higher National Diploma, building skills in branding, digital design, visual communication and project management for industry roles, freelance practice or degree progression.

Can be studied as a stand-alone course. No minimum qualification is required. Includes optional work placement upon completion of the course.

BA Honours Degree BA Honours Degree

Develop independent design thinking, advanced project capability and research skills to produce a distinctive, professional portfolio and a recognisable creative identity. This degree pathway, which is delivered by British Academy of Graphic Design offers two qualifications: a BTEC Higher National Diploma, and a Level 6 Top-up Degree in Graphic Design, which is validated, quality assured, and awarded through the University of Hertfordshire.  Students with an HND or equivalent award may be eligible to progress directly to the Top-up Degree programme.

No minimum qualification is required. Includes optional work placement upon completion of the course.
